The Norton Motorcycle Company was founded in 1898 as a manufacturer of “fittings and parts for the two-wheel trade”. By 1902, the company had begun manufacturing motorcycles with bought-in engines. In 1908, a Norton-built engine was added to the range. This began a long series of production of single and eventually twin-cylinder motorcycles, and a long history of racing involvement. Although motorcycle sales went through a recession in the 1950s, and Norton Motors Ltd was only a small manufacturer, their sales flourished. A series of Norton Dominator twins of 500cc, 600cc, 650cc, and then the 750cc Norton Atlas kept sales buoyant, especially in the US market.

The Dominator originally was a twin cylinder motorcycle developed to compete against the Triumph Speed Twin. The Dominator was designed in 1947 by Bert Hopwood, who had been on the Speed Twin design team at Triumph – it set the design pattern for British twins for the next 30 years.

Norton was recently reborn in 2008 and commenced production of a new series of bikes based on a 961cc parallel twin. They started with a Commando revival that was equipped with USD Ohlins forks and Brembo brakes – and after selling over 1,000 units they created a limited-production variant called the Domiracer. Just 50 Domiracers were built, all for the UK market. Demand was so great that they decided to create a street-legal version…meet the Dominator.

In 2017, Norton introduced a “Naked” version of the Dominator which featured an unpainted frame that shows off the welds along with optional extra hand-made aluminum gas tank. The bare steel frame is lacquered over and the carbon fiber has a matte finish. Unlike the regular Dominator, which has a hand-polished aluminum tank, the Naked has a brushed aluminum finish to complement the matte carbon fiber of the bodywork.

This Norton Dominator Naked  is one of 24 that were built worldwide – Norton announced in 2018 that they were stopping production as the “model has become too costly to produce” due to the cost of the “hand welding, hand crafted tank, open mega exhaust pips and many other features.” This specific example shows just 829 miles on the odometer.

This Dominator Naked has been fully serviced, all factory updates and tuning by ourselves, It has been upgraded with fender Eliminator and fresh Q4 tires, There are no cosmetic or mechanical issues to report.

The Telegraph called the Dominator “an archetypal British café racer blending classic styling with modern suspension to create an intoxicating experience.” Here’s a rare chance to capture that intoxication for yourself!

This bike is a head turner every time it's ridden. Nothing sounds better than a parallel twin with open megaphones. You won’t be disappointed.

This is the rarest modern Norton to date, never to be made again, once in a lifetime chance to own!
